Colt Foal Greenacres Zig Zag Z

'Greenacres ' Zig Zag Z '  ( Ziggy ) was born at 5 am on the 26th April 2009.

The birth was trouble free although there was the initial belief that he may be a breach birth but thankfully that did not prove to be the case. 

Ziggys dam is Herzlady II  a 17.1h Trakehner mare bred by Arno von Gablenz of Rohlsdorf , Germany. The mare was born in 1994.

The Dam Sire is the  Trakehner stallion  Donaumonarch.

Herzlady was purchased by Ingrid Christodoulou of Highfields Stud in the West Midlands as a 3 year old.

Herzlady embarked upon a  successfully show jumping career and had accumulated c£600 BSJA winnings in a short time under the saddle of International riders Geoff Glazzard ( Its the Business ) and more recently Derek Morton.

She was put into the Highfields herd as a result of her being awarded a premium grading by the Trakehner Verband in Neumunster in 2001.

We acquired Herzlady in rather sad circumstances due to the death of Ingrid Christodoulou in 2006.

The pedigree of Ziggy's sire  ... Zandor Z   .....  is of very rare quality. His sire Zeus is one of the most influential show jumping horse suppliers of the last decade.

Legendary show jumping horses such as Midnight Madness , Zalza , Zypria and Playback all descend from Zeus. Zandor Z has inherited an enormous dose of show jumping genes from his dam Padua as well .

This daughter of the top class sire Polydor jumped herself at the highest level in show jumping under Ralph Schneider for many years , accumulating a live winnings of more than Euro 175 , 000.

Show jumping qualities are strongly anchored in the family of Zandor Z. Padua is no-one less than a full sister of the world famous show jumping horses Sonora la Silla and Poor Boy from the Holsteiner Lineage 4965.

Also , Zandor Z himself was enormously successful in the sport of show jumping and won the Bordeaux Grand prix and the prestigious titles of ' Sire of the World ' and ' Best Stallion '.

In 2007 , Zandor Z also made his breakthrough as a producer of show jumping horses. At the World Championships in Lanaken , his three participating products all reached the finals in the 6 yr old category. His daughter , Zekina Z excelled by winning the gold and thus writing the title by her name. Also in 2007 , another offspring of Zandor Z , Zandiego Z , was champion of the 4 yr olds in Portugal.
