Situated in the centre of England  in the heart of the New National Forest , although  Coton in the Elms is in a rural location , ( Burton upon Trent approx 4 miles and Lichfield 7 miles ) , it is only a short distance to many major motorway routes  :   M1 to Leeds and southbound to London ,  M42 to Birmingham linking with the M5 to Bristol and Exeter and the M6 to Manchester and Carlisle.
