December 31st 2007 :  It has been decided to temporarily withdraw Porcha from the show jumping team and put her into foal to give her more strength for the coming years . She will resume as a 6 year old.

November 11th : Markfield EC : Blue Chip Discovery Qualifying Competition : In spite of her 8 faults in the first round , we are still pleased with the progress of this 4 yr old since her return from her operation.

November 1st : Markfield EC : BSJA Novice : A clear plus 4 saw Optimistic Lady into a respectable 7th place from 20 others.

October 21st : Markfield EC : BSJA Novice : Our day was complete when the horse obliged with a double clear 2nd place from 35 starters.

October 21st : Markfield EC : 90cm Clear Round : This was Porcha's first appearance in an arena since her operation : A double clear with no side effects.

June 3rd. Porcha's operation was a success and she has spent the last 4 months on box rest. She has been brought back to fitness and will be ridden again at the end of June.

January 21st  Porcha has received an injury to a hock and requires a minor operation.

January 14th 2007 : Markfield EC : This was Porcha's first competition for 4 weeks and so she was forgiven for rolling the first fence. She went on to complete the course without any further knock-downs.

December 16 / 17th : Arena UK : BSJA Novice , 1.0m & 90cm Amateur Championships : This young horse was the star of Greenacres Team this weekend. She clocked up a second place double clear from thirty two in her first competition and went into the jump off in the last two classes ,  just narrowly missing out on qualification.

December 10th : Markfield EC : 0.85m Unaffiliated & Blue Chip Novice Qualifier : In both classes , greenness crept in to cause one dropped pole in each competition during the first round.

December 7th : Markfield EC : 0.85m Unaffiliated & BSJA Novice :  A very satisfying day with Porcha claiming a win from 18 others in the first class and a double clear seventh place from 23  in the second class.

November 26th : Field House EC : BSJA Novice and Discovery : Following her four faults in the first round of the Novice , it was decided that as the course was not over technical to put Porcha into her first Discovery competition. Although collecting four faults in the first round , we were more than satisfied with her performance.

November 19th : Markfield EC : BSJA Novice : A bit of greenness crept into her performance as she returned with 4 faults in the first round.

November 8th : Solihull RC : BSJA Novice :  Although a little bit of greenness caused her 4 faults in the jump off , putting her in 13th from 36 , her progress since last week has been very encouraging.

November 2nd : Markfield EC : 85cm Unaffiliated and BSJA Novice : Whilst the final placings and faults were exactly the same as on October 26th , Porcha's way of going was vastly improved today.

October 26th : Markfield EC : 85cm Unaffiliated and BSJA Novice : Not the best of days today. Due to a heavy work load Porcha was not jumped in the past 2 days and so her over exuberance  gave the rider a hard job. Lady ended up with 4 faults in the first round in the 85cm and 12faults in the first round of the Novice to put her in a lowly position both times.

October 19th : Markfield EC : 85cm Unaffiliated and BSJA Novice : In the first competition ,  4 faults saw Porcha in 10th place from 14 starters and in the second competition , a clear plus 12 faults in a competition that saw no double clears gave her a creditable 6th from 20.

October 11th : Solihull RC : BSJA Novice :  Lady was put into this class on a ticket , only because of late arrival due to a tyre blow out on the motorway. Her double clear has prompted us to affiliate Porcha earlier than planned !

October 5th : Field House EC : 75cm & 85cm Unaffiliated : The horse has now gone into ' I can do this easily ' mode and carelessly collected 8 faults in the first competition and 4 faults in the second. A change of bit to curb her excessive exuberance will be a feature of her next competition.

October 3rd. : Solihull RC : 85cm Unaffiliated : Definitely worth the 6 am start ! Only tiredness over the last two fences in the 2 phase jump off caused the 8 faults over the bold 14 fences which included 2 double combinations. She ended up a creditable 7th from 16.

Septembr 29th : Field House EC : 75cm Unaffiliated : Lady was put up a class where this time she collected 4 faults and refused once ( who stuck that filler under there ? ) . Never the less we were very happy with her evenings work.

Septembr 29th : Field House EC : 70cm Unaffiliated. This was the Ladies third competition and her first ever indoors: We were delighted when she went around steadily ,going double clear, to gain her first competition rosette and gaining a 4th place from 12 starters.

September 23rd : Western Lawns EC : 85cm Unaffiliated : In the main arena with a bold and testing course for a youngster , The Lady , ( although collecting faults ) more than confirmed our best judgements as to a show jumper with a big future.

August 22nd 2006 : Eland Lodge EC : 85cm clear round.  The course was a little stronger than we would have liked for this outing but under the saddle of Tom King , Porcha really impressed all connections with her maturity and willingness and so subsequently was given a second opportunity to go around the course which she handled with relative ease.

August 2006 :  Optimistic Lady was taken to a local riding club for her first outing and successfully negotiated a small set of coloured fences.
