Trakehner mare Herzlady II

Herzlady II is a 17.1h Trakehner mare bred by Arno von Gablenz of Rohlsdorf , Germany. The mare was born in 1994.

Her sire is the  Trakehner stallion  Donaumonarch.

Herzlady was purchased by Ingrid Christodoulou of Highfields Stud in the West Midlands as a 3 year old.

Herzlady embarked upon a  successfully show jumping career and had accumulated c£600 BSJA winnings in a short time under the saddle of International riders Geoff Glazzard ( Its the Business ) and more recently Derek Morton.

She was put into the Highfields herd as a result of her being awarded a premium grading by the Trakehner Verband in Neumunster in 2001.

We acquired Herzlady in rather sad circumstances due to the death of Ingrid Christodoulou in 2006.

At a social evening at her stud shortly before her sudden and un expected death we told Ingrid that if ever she felt the need to sell  'Hottie' ( as the mare is affectionately known ) , then could we have first refusal ?

This information was obviously passed to her immediate family as we received an out of the blue phone call in 2007 giving us that first refusal when the estate was being wound up..

Herzlady joined Greenacres Stud on December 8th 2007 and will be re-united with her friend of many years Sequin II.
